The Koheras BASIK X15 from NKT Photonics is a Fiber Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1550.12 nm or 1535 nm - 1580 nm (optional). It delivers an output power of 30 mW and has a linewidth of less than 0.1 kHz. This continuous wave laser has a maximum phase noise of -105 dB((rad/&radicHz)/m) (at 1 Hz), -125 dB((rad/&radicHz)/m) (at 10 Hz), -130 dB((rad/&radicHz)/m) (at 100 Hz) & -128 dB((rad/&radicHz)/m) (at 1 kHz) and an optical signal-to-noise ratio above 55 dB.
The Koheras BASIK X15 laser has a polarization extinction ratio (PER) of over 23 dB and RIN peak of 0.7 MHz. This single-frequency laser has a total thermal wavelength tuning range of 350 pm and fast wavelength modulation of up to 20 kHz. It can be controlled via USB and NKTP CONTROL graphical user interfaces. This laser supports FC/APC pigtail and optional Bulkhead/pigtail SC/APC connectors.
The Koheras BASIK X15 laser requires a DC supply voltage of 12 V and consumes a power of 4 W. It is available in a standard module that measures 111 mm x 22.5 mm x 220 mm and is ideal for metrology, atomic physics, seismic sensing, laser vibrometry, quantum physics, wind LiDAR systems, sensor interferometry, frequency conversion, coherent communication, and motion & intrusion detection applications.
