An innovative and customized photonic solutions provider, Excelitas Technologies, featured its latest sensor and laser innovations at IEEE Sensors 2019 in Montreal, Canada, Booth 8, from October 28 to 30.
Featured products at Excelitas’ exhibit include:
Excelitas’ C30737 Series APDs are suited for LiDAR, laser meter, laser range finding, and area scanning applications, providing high responsivity from 500 to 1000 nm as well as extremely fast rise times at all wavelengths, with a cut-off frequency of more than 1 GHz for bandwidth-optimized versions. Additional applications include surveillance and automatic door opening, optical communication, 3D laser scanning, and gesture recognition.
High volume 905nm pulsed lasers – Excelitas’ SMT packaged pulsed semiconductor lasers produce very high peak optical pulses centered at a wavelength of 905 nm. The package design enables light emission parallel or perpendicular to the mounting plane. These laser diodes are mounted on an FR4 substrate leadless laminate carrier (LLC) with excellent thermal management, intended for both surface mount applications and hybrid integration. Applications include LiDAR, range finding, safety light curtains, adaptive cruise control, and laser therapy.
PGEW Series of single- and multi-epi 905nm pulsed semiconductor lasers consist of a series of devices with up to four active lasing layers epitaxially grown on a single GaAs substrate chip. This multi-layer design multiplies the output power by the number of epi-layers. Applications include laser range finding, laser-based speed enforcement, and IR illumination, and laser skin therapy.
