Excelitas Technologies, an innovative and customized photonic solutions provider, has showcased its thermal weapon sight solutions for mission-critical defense applications at the 2019 Modern Warfare Symposium and Expo, being held at Iron Mike Conference Center, Ft. Bragg, NC from Nov. 19-22 at Booth #5.
Featured Products at Excelitas Include:
PHOENIX-S Thermal Imaging, Clip-On, Long-Range Sniper Sight:
Designed for demanding ground-based sniper operations, PHOENIX-S delivers battle-winning capability by allowing early and rapid detection, recognition, and identification of targets at extended ranges even in zero light conditions. The sight’s in-line configuration achieves integration with a wide range of small arms weapon systems and optical day scopes up to 25X magnification. It also features a fully digital architecture to enable a variety of system set up and configuration options accessible via a simple menu.
PHOENIX-H Handheld Thermal Imaging Surveillance Sight:
PHOENIX-H is designed for demanding ground-based surveillance and target location operations. It utilizes the latest in high-resolution MWIR HOT technology to provide a 640 x 512 resolution image coupled with a wide field-of-view range from 2º - 16º. It also features a fully digital architecture for a variety of system set up and configuration options accessible via a simple menu system, as well as wireless connectivity to other PHOENIX assets for exchange of targeting and image data.
DRAGON-S Uncooled, In-Line, Thermal Weapon Sniper Sight:
Utilizing the latest in uncooled thermal camera, electronics, and optical technologies, DRAGON-S provides snipers with 24-hr surveillance and target engagement capability for use with a range of optical dayscopes. The lightweight, compact sniper sight is factory set to eliminate the need for re-zeroing when used in conjunction with the dayscope. It can also be fitted with a LO GLINT coating technology to reduce sunlight glint and reflection.
TALON Fused Weapon Sight - Image Intensifier / Thermal Imager:
The dual-channel optically fused TALON Weapon Sight combines the latest image intensification and uncooled thermal imaging technology in a lightweight, compact and rugged package to provide enhanced, multi-waveband detect, recognize and identify capability. It attaches to Picatinny or NATO accessory rails in front of the day sight via a quick release throw lever, providing 24-hour capability without the need to remove or re-zero the day sight. It is fitted with a 12μm, 60Hz uncooled thermal sensor coupled with a near-silent shutter to enable superior sensitivity, uniformity and system latency in an ITAR-free package.
