The MT250-NIR6-Fio from AA Opto Electronic is a TeO2 Acousto-Optic Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 780 nm - 870 nm. It has a frequency shift of ± 250 MHz and VSWR of up to 1.2:1. This linearly (PM fibers) or randomly (SM fibers) polarized AO modulator has a rise/fall time of 6 ns and maximum analog amplitude modulation bandwidth of up to 80 MHz. It has an insertion loss of 4 dB - 6 dB and a polarization-dependent loss below 0.5 dB. This AO modulator has a static extinction ratio of 50 dB and an input impedance of 50 Ohms.

The MT250-NIR6-Fio uses HI780 or PM850 fibers with a pigtail length of 1 m and supports FC, APC, super FC/PC, or SMA female connectors. It requires an input continuous wave laser power of 0.2 W and RF power of 1.8 W. This AO modulator is available in an IN PRO 334 robust package that measures 89 (L) mm x 46.6 (W) mm x 32.5 (H) mm and is ideal for intensity modulation, fixed or variable frequency shifting, pulse picking & q-switching applications.
