The AOMO 3200-1220 from G&H is an Acousto-Optic Modulator (AOM) that operates at a wavelength of 257 nm. It has a center frequency of 200 MHz and an active aperture of 2.5 (L) mm x 0.25 (H) mm. This AOM has a rise/fall time of 10 ns and an acoustic velocity of 5.74 mm/μs. It has an RF bandwidth of 100 MHz (at -5 dB return loss) and input impedance of 50 ohms. This AOM has a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.5:1 and an insertion loss of up to 5%. It has a maximum reflectivity of 1% (per surface) and contrast ratio below 1000:1. This AOM has a Bragg angle of 4.5 mrad and beam separation of 9 mrad. It has a beam diameter of 70 µm and diffraction efficiency of 75%. This AOM uses crystalline quartz medium and requires an RF power of 1 W. It is available in a style 2B package that measures 2” x 1” x 0.53”.
