The I-M041-XXC11XXX-P5-GH77 from G&H is a Germanium Acousto-Optic Modulator (AOM) that operates at wavelengths of 9.4 μm or 10.6 μm. It delivers maximum optical power density of over 15 W/mm2 and has an AR coating reflectivity of less than 0.2% per surface. This AOM operates in compressional acoustic mode and has a rise time of 120 ns/mm. It has a separation angle of 69.5 mrad (at 9.4 μm) & 78.4 mrad (at 10.6 μm). This AOM can handle up to 120 W of RF power and has a diffraction efficiency of over 90%.

The I-M041-XXC11XXX-P5-GH77 uses optimum grade mono-crystalline germanium and has novel acoustic management & optomechanical design techniques to achieve exceptional thermal management in operation. It is available in a module that measures 107 x 52.2 x 43.5 mm and has BNC & push-in 6 mm connectors. This AOM is ideal for PCB via drilling, marking & engraving, multi-layer polymer film cutting, micro-perforation, industrial material processing, and Q-switching applications.
