The H-111 from L3Harris Technologies is a Tellurium dioxide (TeO2) Acousto Optic Modulator (AOM) that operates at a wavelength of 514.5 nm. This AOM has an optical polarization that is perpendicular to the acoustic axis with a center frequency of 380 MHz and a modulation bandwidth of over 100 MHz. It has an optical rise time of less than 8 ns and requires a peak drive power of 10 W for 1 ms maximum. This Brewster-windowed AOM device has a diffraction efficiency of over 30% at 200 mW drive power (single pass) and a static contrast ratio of over 500:1. It has an input beam diameter of 40 µm, diffracted beam ellipticity of 1.15 and a nominal input impedance of 50 ohms. This AOM is ideal for pulse picking, mode-locking, and general-purpose high-speed modulation applications.
