The NanEyeM from ams AG is a 0.1 Megapixel Miniature Camera Image Sensor Module that has a resolution of 320 (H) x 320 (V). It has a pixel size of 2.4 μm x 2.4 μm in a 1/15” optical format that delivers a frame rate of 4 - 38 fps and up to 49 fps (in HS mode). This rolling shutter CMOS image sensor module has a dynamic range of 60 dB and a maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 38.4 dB. It has microlenses with depth-of-field (DoF) from 4 mm to infinite and an Effective Focal Length (EFL) of 367 μm. This image sensor module has an exposure time of 0.13 – 261 ms, responsivity of 8.9 DN/nJ/cm2 and a full well capacity of 6.2 ke-. It has a conversion gain of 0.137 DN/e- and a quantum efficiency of 42.5 %.
The NanEyeM camera module has a Dark Signal Non-Uniformity (DSNU) of 0.84 DN, Photo-Response Non-Uniformity (PRNU) of 1.3 %, and Full Self-Driving (FSD) of 860 DN. It has a dark noise of less than 6.1 DN/e-, a dark current of 9.2 DN/s (at 60 °C) and is RoHS compliant. This image sensor module is compatible with RGB (Bayer Pattern) Color filters and a 10-bit column ADC. It uses an LVDS interface for output, delivering a data rate of 63 Mbit/s. This image sensor module requires a supply voltage of 3.3 V and consumes 12 mW & 3.2 mW (with Idle mode ON) of power. It is available in a package that measures 1.05 x 1.05 x 2.77 mm2 and is ideal for medical applications like endoscopy and intraoral scanning.
