The CMV20000 from ams OSRAM is a 20 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor Module that has a resolution of 5120 (H) x 3840 (V). It delivers a frame rate of 30 fps and has a pixel pitch of 6.4 µm x 6.4 µm. This pipelined global shutter image sensor module has a 12-bit ADC with a dynamic range of 66 dB. It has a quantum efficiency of 64.5% at an input wavelength of 550 nm with microlenses. This image sensor module has a full well charge of 15000 e- and responsivity of 0.29 A/W. It has a temporal noise of 8e- and a maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 41.8 dB.
The CMV20000 has sixteen 12-bit digital LVDS outputs (serial) where each channel runs at 480 Mbps which results in 30 fps frame rate at full resolution. The higher frame rates can be achieved in row-windowing mode or row-subsampling mode. These modes are all programmable using the SPI interface. This image sensor delivers monochrome and RGB Bayer images. It requires a DC supply of 2 - 3.4 V and consumes 1100 mW of power. This image sensor module is available in a ceramic, PGA package that measures 32.77 mm x 24.58 mm and is ideal for machine vision, video & broadcast, high-resolution display inspection, medical and scientific applications.
