The LI3030SA from Canon is a Mono/RGB-NIR CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 2160 x 1280. It has a rolling shutter that delivers a data rate of up to 98 fps and has a sensitivity of 2,900,000 e/lx/sec (monochrome) and up to 1,100,00 e/lx/sec (RGB-NIR). This image sensor features 19 µm pixels, each with an expanded well depth for greatly enhanced quantum efficiency (QE) for increased NIR detection. It uses pixel readout technologies to reduce the noise associated with larger pixel sizes, allowing for high quality images, even in low-light environments. This image sensor has an NIR filter replacing the green filter which allows for the separation of visible and NIR wavelengths for discrete analysis and simultaneous detection in each spectrum. It uses 16-channel analog output interfaces.
The LI3030SA performs progressive scans and has a readout noise of 3.4 e rms. It has a sensor size of 41.04 x 24.32 mm and is ideal for astronomy, aeronautic imaging, defense, Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), industrial, machine vision, medical imaging, security, surveillance, X-ray detection and underwater imaging applications.
