The EMERALD 8M9 from Teledyne e2v is an 8.9 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor for machine vision and Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) applications. It has a small, 2.8µm low-noise global shutter pixel and provides a high 8.9 Megapixel resolution within a compact 2/3 inch optical format. The sensor has a low readout noise of 2.8e-, which combined with 65% QE, provides accurate inspection and surveillance even in low-light conditions. It has a unique real-time HDR mode for an easier Automatic License Plate Recognition from daylight to night-time.
