The GMAX3809 from Gpixel Inc. is a 9 Megapixel Monochrome/Color CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 4096 x 2160. It has a 12 bit ADC and 1.1” optical format that delivers a frame rate of 65 fps and a linear dynamic range of 70 dB. This image sensor has a quantum efficiency of over 60.8%, a full well capacity of 11.5 ke- and noise of 3.6 e-. It requires a DC supply of 3.3/1.8/1.2 V and consumes up to 1 W of power. This image sensor can be controlled via SPI or I2C interfaces and sub-LVDS interface for output.
The GMAX3809 uses advanced pixel technology to provide a Parasitic Light Sensitivity of -92 dB and angular response of over 15° at 80% response. It also uses Gpixel’s Red Fox technology to deliver a NIR-enhanced QE of 30% at 850 nm for excellent performance in intelligent traffic systems. This image sensor supports on-chip color offset calibration, LED flicker mitigation, multiple regions HDR and OTP functions. It is available in a 163-pin ceramic LGA package that measures 27.1 x 17.9 mm with a double side AR coated cover glass lid.
