The OS04C10 from OmniVision Technologies is a 4 MegaPixel CMOS Digital Image Sensor with a pixel size of 1.998 µm. Built on OmniVision’s PureCelPlus architecture, it provides a resolution of 2688 x 1520 µm with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The image sensor offers multiple HDR options for the highest quality 4MP still and video captures of fast-moving objects at 60 frames per second. It integrates NIR Nyxel technology with PureCelPlus technology that makes it suitable to work equally well in ultra-low light and good lighting conditions. The image sensor requires a DC supply of 1.8 V and supports the standard serial SCCB interface.
The OS04C10 can detect incident light in both the visible and NIR wavelengths while producing precise color and monochrome images for security applications. It provides exceptional quantum efficiency (QE), enabling the sensor to see better and farther at both the 850 nm and 940 nm NIR wavelengths. The sensor can capture crisp and clear images using undetectable 940 nm NIR light and consumes 98.9% less power than the normal mode for longer battery life. It is ideal for IoT, security camera, action camera, and high-resolution consumer camera applications.
