The OV0VA10 from OmniVision Technologies is a 0.3 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that has a VGA resolution of 640 (H) x 480 (V). It has a pixel size of 2.2 µm x 2.2 µm in a 1/10" optical format that delivers a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. This color image sensor has an input clock frequency of 6 - 48 MHz and an imaging area of 1434.4 µm x 1082.4 µm. The output is available in YUV422, RAW8, and Y formats and supports 2x2 mono binning mode & external frame synchronization. This image sensor can be controlled via DVP (8-bit) and SPI (1/2/4-bit) data output interfaces. It has OmniPixel®3-HS architecture that enhances color performance with a symmetric pixel design to eliminate color shading and optimize the signal-to-noise ratio.
The OV0VA10 image sensor supports embedded image processor functionalities and enables a 4 mm camera module in the Y dimension for the latest entry-level notebooks with thinner bezels. This image sensor also offers high quantum efficiency for truer-to-life color reproduction and superior low-light performance for smooth video conferencing. It requires a DC supply of 1.7 - 3.0 V (I/O) and consumes up to 70 mW (active) & less than 30 µA (standby) of power. This image sensor is available in an 8” chip-scale package (CSP) that measures 2809 µm x 1759 µm and is ideal for toys, PC/notebook cameras, tablet cameras, web cameras, and mobile phone cameras.
