The AR0544 from Onsemi are 5 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensors that have a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. They have an electronic rolling shutter in a 1/4.2" optical format that delivers a frame rate of 60 fps. These backside illuminated (BSI) image sensors have a pixel size of 1.4 µm x 1.4 µm and dynamic range of 73 dB (eDR mode) & 100 dB (LI-HDR Mode). They have a 10-bit ADC with a chief ray angle of 11 deg and an input clock frequency of 6 MHz - 48 MHz. These image sensors operate in 3 modes: linear mode, line interleaved high dynamic range (LI−HDR) mode, and enhanced Dynamic Range (eDR) mode.
The AR0544 have RGB & monochrome color filter array with a responsivity of 8.7 ke-/lux-sec (green in RGB) & 17.3 ke-/lux-sec (clear in Mono) and maximum signal-to-noise ratio of 39.9 dB. They have on-chip camera functions such as Wake on Motion (WOM), context switching, and multiple subsampling modes: Skipping (RGB, Mono), Binning (RGB) & Summing (Mono). These image sensors feature bit-depth compression, 2360 bytes One-Time Programmable Memory (OTPM) for storing shading correction coefficients & module information, and programmable controls: gain, horizontal & vertical blanking.
The AR0544 have an on-chip temperature sensor and on-chip lens shading correction. They can be controlled via I2C & 2-lane MIPI D−PHY data interfaces and have a maximum data rate of 1.72 Gbps/lane. These image sensors require a DC supply voltage of 2.8 V (analog, pixel), 1.8 V (I/O) & 1.05 V (PLL, MIPIphy) and consume 158 mV of power. They are available in CSP-47 or bare die packages and are ideal for videoconferencing endpoints, webcams, machine vision cameras, video doorbells, retail in-store cameras, bodycams, 3D, and stereo cameras.
