The S5K3P9 | ISOCELL 3P9 from Samsung Semiconductors is a 16 Megapixel CMOS image sensor that has an effective resolution of 4640 (H) x 3488 (V). It has an electronic rolling shutter in a 1/3-inch optical format that delivers a normal frame rate of up to 30 fps (at full resolution). This image sensor has a video frame rate of 60 fps (at 4 MP) and 180 fps (at VGA). It has a pixel size of 1µm x 1µm with a 10-bit ADC.
The ISOCELL 3P9 comes in a Tetrapixel version for brighter results while remosaic algorithm creates a detailed 16 MP high-resolution image. This image sensor is built on an RGB pattern that supports fast and accurate autofocus with PDAF and its smart WDR technology helps to capture details that may get lost due to mixed lighting. It uses MIPI 4 Lane RAW interface and supports RAW8 (using DPCM/PCM compression), RAW10 output formats. This image sensor requires a DC supply voltage of 2.8V (for Analog), 1.8V or 2.8V (for I/O), and 1.05 V (for digital core supply). It is ideal for smartphone/mobile camera applications.
