The S5KGW3 | ISOCELL GW3 from Samsung Semiconductors is a 64 Megapixel CMOS image sensor that has an effective resolution of 9280 (H) x 6944 (V) pixels. It has an electronic rolling shutter in a 1/1.97" optical format that delivers a normal frame rate of up to 10 fps (at full resolution) and video frame rate of up to 30 fps (at 16 MP). This image sensor has a pixel size of 0.7 µm x 0.7 µm with a 10-bit ADC.
The S5KGW3 | ISOCELL GW3 uses Samsung’s Tetrapixel technology to capture sharp & bright images and Smart-ISO technology to perfectly balance photos in all conditions. The technology automatically rearranges the pixels in the sensor depending on the amount of light available, allowing for clarity of smaller pixels in bright conditions and capturing more light with bigger pixels when it’s dark.
The S5KGW3 | ISOCELL GW3 also has Samsung’s innovative ISOCELL Plus technology, which brings color fidelity and light sensitivity in mobile photography to the next level. The technology achieves this by reducing optical loss and light reflection between pixels with specially designed materials. This allows the sensor to produce color with superior accuracy and create dazzling images that are vibrant and filled with life.
The S5KGW3 | ISOCELL GW3 supports fast and accurate autofocus with Super-PD (PDAF). It has a MIPI interface with 4 Lanes (2.15 Gbps per lane) for high-speed data transfer and uses RAW10 image data format. This image sensor has Gyro EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and can record smooth & shake-free 4K videos with ease. It requires a DC supply voltage of 2.8V (for Analog), 1.8V or 2.8V (for I/O), and 1.05 V (for digital core supply). This image sensor is ideal for smartphone / mobile camera applications.
