The YACG4D0C9SHC from SK Hynix is an 8 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor with a 10-bit ADC in 1/4 inch optical format that delivers a frame rate of 30 fps at QUXGA, 60 fps at FHD 1080p (crop), and 90 fps at HD 720p resolution. This image sensor uses unique sensor technology to enhance image quality by reducing FPN (Fixed Pattern Noise), horizontal/vertical line noise, and random noise. It requires a DC supply of 1.2-2.8 V and consumes less than 147 mW of power. This sensor can be controlled via a two-wire serial bus interface and uses MIPI 4-Lane (Max 720 Mbps per lane ) & MIPI 2-Lane (Max 1.44 Gbps per lane) interfaces for output.
The YACG4D0C9SHC has an RGB Bayer color filter, on-chip PLL for high-speed clock generation, and built-in test pattern generation. It supports dual camera synchronization (FSYNC), 2D lens shading correction, black level calibration and can produce line-interlaced long-short output for iHDR (inter-line HDR). This image sensor has an on-chip defect correction for couplets & clusters defect using OTP data from its 8 KB memory (Adjacent Defect Pixel Correction). It has a standby mode for saving power, flash strobe control that supports Xenon/LED flash types, and is ideal for mobile phone cameras, digital still cameras, PC cameras, and video conference applications.
