The IMX511 from Sony Corporation is a Diagonal 1/2.3-Type 7.81 mm CMOS Image Sensor with a square pixel array (5215(H) x 4927(V)) for color cameras. The pixel chip is back-illuminated and has approximately 25.69 Million effective pixels for capturing information across a wide-angle of view. This image sensor features R, G, B primary color mosaic filters on the chip and supports H, V, and serial communication drivers.
The IMX511 has a variable speed shutter function and requires a supply voltage of 2.8 V (analog), 1.2 V (digital), and 1.8 V (I/O interfaces). The pixel chip has a 10/12 bit ADC resolution and supports baud rates of up to 4.608/2.304 Gbps. It is available in a 148 pin LGA ceramic package that measures 9.28 x 8.55 mm and is ideal for use in color cameras and camcorders.
