The IMX548 from Sony Semiconductor Solutions is a 1/1.8 type 5.1 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor that is designed for monochrome and color cameras. It has a global shutter function that can capture images at a frame rate of 114.8 fps at 8 bit, 93.4 fps at 10 bit and 84 fps at 12 bit. This image sensor requires a DC supply of 3.3 V (analog), 2.9 V (digital), 1.1 V (interface) and 1.8 V (quadruple) and can be controlled via an SLVS 2/4/8 channel interface with a data rate of up to 891 Mbps per channel.
The IMX548 is based on Sony’s Pregius S technology that provides higher definition and non-distortion imaging functionality in a smaller size. It has a built-in 8/10/12 bit ADC, timing adjustment circuit, H/V driver and serial communication circuit. This image sensor supports vertical, horizontal & 1/2 subsampling modes, 2x2 FD binning mode, inverted readout mode and ROI mode. It is available in a 132 pin LGA package that measures 15 x 12.5 mm and is ideal for FA and ITS cameras.
