The VD55G0 from STMicroelectronics is a CMOS Image Sensor that has a resolution of 640 x 600 pixels. It has a global shutter in a 1/9 inch optical format that delivers a frame rate of up to 210 fps at full resolution and 260 fps in VGA resolution. This 3D stacked image sensor is based on BSI pixel technology that supports full CDTI (capacitive deep trench) and provides exceptional QE (quantum efficiency), MTF (modulation transfer function) up to near IR and PLS (shutter efficiency). It can be controlled via a fast mode+ I2C interface and uses a single lane transmitter MIPI CSI-2 (with 1.2 Gbps per lane) for output.
The VD55G0 supports automatic dark calibration, dynamic defective correction and mirror/flip readout features. It has an integrated temperature sensor and supports analog binning, 2x/4x binning & sub-sampling functions. This image sensor is available in a compact die package that measures 2.6 x 2.5 mm and is ideal for high-performance computer vision applications, including AR/VR, personal and industrial robotics, drones, barcodes, biometrics, gestures, embedded vision, scene recognition, IR sensing, etc.
