The MX-LN-05-PD-P-P-FA-FA from iXblue Photonics is an Electro-Optic Intensity Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 1550 nm. It has an electro-optical bandwidth of 4 GHz and a data rate of up to 56 Gb/s. This electro-optic intensity modulator has an RF half-wave voltage of 3.5 V (at 50 Hz) and a DC half-wave voltage of 6.5 V. It has an RF input impedance of 50 Ohms and a DC input impedance above 1 MOhms. This electro-optic intensity modulator has an insertion loss of 3.5 dB and a DC extinction ratio of 25 dB. It has an optical return loss of -45 dB and electrical return loss of -13 dB.

The MX-LN-05-PD-P-P-FA-FA has a ripple of 0.5 dB and chirp from -0.1 to 0.1. It uses Lithium Niobate crystal and has an internal photodiode. This fiber-coupled electro-optic intensity modulator uses polarization-maintained fiber and supports FC/APC connectors. It requires a bias voltage from -20 V to 20 V and consumes a power of 28 dBm (RF) & 20 dBm (optical). This electro-optic intensity modulator is available in a package that measures 95 mm x 12 mm x 9.65 mm and is ideal for digital communications, general-purpose intensity modulation, and test & measurement applications.
