The MXAN-LN-05-PD-P-P-FA-FA from iXblue Photonics is an Analog Electro-Optic Intensity Modulator that operates at a wavelength of 1530 nm - 1625 nm. It has an electro-optical bandwidth of 12 GHz and insertion loss of 3.5 dB. This electro-optic intensity modulator has RF drive voltage (at 50 kHz) of 5.5 V, RF drive voltage (at 60 kHz), and DC drive voltage of 6.5 V. It has an RF input impedance of 50 Ohms and a DC input impedance above 1 MOhms. This electro-optic intensity modulator has an electrical return loss of -12 dB and a ripple of 0.5 dB. It has a second harmonic suppression ratio of 70 dB and an input third order intercept of 30 dBm.

The MXAN-LN-05-PD-P-P-FA-FA has an optical return loss of -45 dB, a DC extinction ratio of 22 dB, and chirp from -0.1 to 0.1. It uses Lithium Niobate crystal and has an internal photodiode. This fiber-coupled electro-optic intensity modulator uses polarization-maintained fiber and supports FC/APC connectors. It requires a bias voltage from -20 V to 20 V and consumes a power of 28 dBm (RF) & 20 dBm (optical). This electro-optic intensity modulator is available in a package that measures 95 mm x 12 mm x 9.65 mm and is ideal for RoF, antenna remoting, microwave & radar links, space & defence system applications.
