The AMP-FL5201-SB-19 from Fiberlabs Inc is an S-Band Thulium Doped Fiber Amplifier (TDFA) that operates at a wavelength of 1460 nm - 1500 nm. It delivers a maximum output power of over 19 dBm and has a gain of 19 dB. This optical amplifier has an input or output isolation of greater than 40 dB and noise of up to 7 dB. It operates in two control modes: ACC (Auto Current Control) mode and ALC (Auto Light Control) mode, complying with IEC 60825-1 (JIS C 6802) and CE marking (EN 61010-1 / EN 61326-1) safety standards.

The AMP-FL5201-SB-19 features proprietary fluoride fiber TDFA technology and includes a class 3B laser with an output power of less than 200 mW. It supports Corning SMF28e/SC/PC standard connectors and can be remotely controlled via an RS232C interface. This optical amplifier requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and consumes below 40 W of power. It is available in a rack mount package that measures 43 mm x 440 mm x 403 mm and is ideal for booster, in-line, pre-amplifier, telecom network, datacom network, increasing link budget & loss compensation applications.
