The 7612A from Analog Module Inc. is a Laser Diode Driver that produces an output current from 0.1 to 1.2 A. It delivers an output power of 1 - 1.25 W with both continuous wave and pulsed output options. The pulsed output has a pulse width of over 6 ns and a repetition rate of up to 50 MHz. This laser diode driver has a rise/fall time of 6 ns and a duty cycle of 0 - 100%. It has an onboard TEC controller that requires a DC voltage of 3.14 V and consumes 1.8 A of current. The constant output current is set based on the input signal from 0 to 4.5V with a 0.33A/V scaling. This laser diode driver can be controlled via an 8 Pin TE connectivity interface.

The 7612A features RoHS compliance and has a transconductance amplifier implementation. It requires an operating current of over 0.33 A and a DC supply of 5 V. This LDD is available in a package that measures 3.44 x 3.00 x 0.75 inches and is ideal for driving SOA or BOA modules, optical switches, booster optical amplifiers, and optical coherence tomography applications.
