The uniLDD-CW-30-80 from EKSMA Optics is a Continuous Wave Laser Diode Driver that delivers an output current of up to 80 A. It has a peak-to-peak current ripple of 0.1 % and current drift of less than 0.2 %. This laser diode driver has a diode compliance voltage of up to 27 V and an input frequency above 10 kHz. It has a DSUB-15 connector for analog control, Molex Picoflex for digital control (6 pin and 10 pin connectors), and multiple DC power inputs.
The uniLDD-CW-30-80 is based on DSP technology and depending on the configuration, the driver can be controlled via analog, CAN and RS232 interfaces. This LDD requires a DC supply voltage of up to 29 V and consumes 100 A of current. It has a PWM-based converter with up to 4-phases output that provides around 90% efficiency and gives very smooth, low noise and high precision output to the laser diode. This LDD is available in a module that measures 190 × 68 × 55 mm (standard) and is ideal for high-power applications.
