The FP3915 from Freedom Photonics is a Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 1550 nm. It has a spectral width (FWHM) of less than 1 nm and is available in 2 versions that operate in Single or Multi spatial mode. This laser consumes 0.5 W of power with a peak EO efficiency of 20% in single spatial mode and 3 W of power with a peak EO efficiency of 36% in multi-spatial mode. It is available in a C-mount carrier and is ideal for Free Space Optical (FSO) communications, infrared, illumination, infrared pointing, laser rangefinding, LADAR, fiber optic testing and medical applications.
