The V980-6GUA-1TGA from Inneos is a Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 980 nm. It delivers an optical output power of 2.7 mW with a slope efficiency of 0.4 - 0.6 mW/mA. This single-channel, top-emitting VCSEL has a data rate of 6 Gbps at a bandwidth of less than 4.5 GHz. It has a spectral width of 0.4 nm and a beam divergence half-angle of 13 degrees. 

The V980-6GUA-1TGA can be integrated into transceivers or sensors and has been designed and tested to maintain high performance in harsh environment applications. This laser diode has a threshold current of 1 mA and a reverse voltage of up to 8 V. It requires a DC supply of 1.9-3.0 V and consumes 5 mA of current. This VCSEL is available in a bare die package that measures 0.20 x 0.25 mm and is ideal for harsh environment sensors, transmitter optical sub-assemblies, and wide-temperature transceivers.
