The PL-DFB-0780-A-A81-PA from LD-PD Inc is a Tunable Distributed Feedback Laser Diode that operates at a wavelength of 779.5 nm. It delivers an optical output power of 8 mW and has a linewidth of up to 2 MHz. This laser diode has a side mode suppression ratio of 45 dB and quantum efficiency of 0.01 mW/mA. It has a current tuning coefficient of 0.005 nm/mA and includes a thermistor & photodiode.

This laser diode requires a threshold current of 28 mA, forward voltage of 2.1 V, and consumes 100 mA  of current. It has a built-in thermo-electric cooler with a TEC current of less than 1 A and maximum TEC voltage of 3.3 V. This laser diode supports PM780 fiber and FC/APC connectors. It is available in a 14-pin butterfly package that measures 55 mm x 32.7 mm and is ideal for tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy & Coherent Population Trapping (CPT) applications.
