The FPL785P from Thorlabs is a Fabry-Perot Laser Diode that operates from 775 to 795 nm. It delivers a CW output power of 200 mW and has a spectral bandwidth (RMS) of 0.5 nm. This single-mode optical fiber has a forward voltage of 2.1 V, an operating current CW of 500 mA, and a threshold current of up to 80 mA. It has a polarization extinction ratio of 16 dB and a slope efficiency of 0.53 W/A. This laser diode is based on quantum well epitaxial layer growth and has a highly reliable ridge waveguide structure. It is available in a butterfly package with an integrated monitor photodiode, TEC, and a thermistor that allows the laser diode to be temperature controlled.
