The Thulium-300 from Active Fibers Systems is an Ultrafast Fiber Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1950 nm. It delivers an average output power of up to 300 W and has a pulse energy above 3 mJ. This linearly polarized laser has a pulse repetition rate of 50 kHz - 25 MHz and pulse duration of up to 5 ps (adjustable). It has a beam quality factor (M2) of less than 1.3 and beam-pointing stability below 20 µrad RMS (less than 10% divergence).
The Thulium-300 has a slow Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) of less than 0.6% RMS and fast RIN below 0.6% RMS. This laser is available in a dust-sealed housing package that measures 260 x 150 x 40 cm and is ideal as a replacement for complex OPAs emitting at 2 µm, pumping of optical parametric amplifiers (mid-IR OPA), generation of high harmonics (water-window HHG), and materials processing applications.
