The EFOA-UB from Avesta is a Femtosecond Fiber-Coupled Pulsed Laser that operates from 1100 to 2000 nm. It delivers up to 150 mW of average power at 50 to 70 MHz of repetition rate. This laser system provides a turnkey, portable source of broadband laser pulses without requiring any user-adjustments to the fiber coupling. White-light radiation generated by the EFOA-UB is also called &lsquosupercontinuum radiation&rsquo due to its extensive and continuous character. The laser is available in a compact unit that measures 230 x 200 x 130 mm with a laser head of 180 x 210 x 70 (90) mm.

The EFOA-UB is suitable for applications like supercontinuum generation, semiconductor device characterization, telecommunication components characterization, optical switching, optical coherence tomography, optical frequency metrology, optical clocks & time standards, and synchronization & timing. It also leads the way to create new compact multiplex laser radiation sources for nonlinear spectroscopy, microscopy, and laser biomedicine.
