The Chromacity 1040 from Chromacity is a Femtosecond Pulsed Ytterbium Fibre Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1040 nm. It delivers an average power of 4 W (high power) & 400 mW (low power) and has a pulse width of up to 100 fs. This single-mode laser has a pulse energy above 40 nJ and repetition rate of 100 MHz. It produces a beam of diameter 1.2 mm and has a beam divergence of less than 0.8 mrad. This linearly polarised laser has a beam quality factor (M2) of up to 1.1 and beam ellipticity of greater than 0.9.
The Chromacity 1040 has a beam-pointing stability below 20 µrad and relative intensity noise of 0.15%. It can be controlled via Ethernet & RS-232 interfaces or remotely via PC and is available in a compact module that measures 426 mm x 250 mm x 108 mm (laser head) & 482.6 mm x 324.8 mm x 88.1 mm (power supply unit). This air-cooled laser is ideal for multi-photon imaging, Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) microscopy, light sheet microscopy, THz generation, non-linear optics & super-continuum generation applications.
