The Chameleon Discovery NX from Coherent is an automated ultrafast tunable laser for two-photon microscopy and spectroscopy applications. It has a tuning range of 660 nm to 1320 nm and delivers short pulses right to the sample plane, enabling deep in-vivo excitation of all popular fluorescent probes and calcium indicators. This laser also has a secondary output at 1040 nm for multi-wavelength excitation of multiple fluorescent markers or photoactivation of optogenetics probes. The two outputs of the laser have phase-locked pulse trains, enabling Raman techniques such as CARS. It delivers an output power of up to 2000 mW at first output and more than 3500 mW at the secondary output. The Chameleon Discovery NX is available in a module and is ideal for flow cytometry, spectroscopy, lifesciences and multiphoton excitation applications.
