The SOPRANO-13/17 from Cycle GmbH is a Femtosecond Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1350/1700 nm. It delivers an average output power of 500 mW and pulse energy of 16-500 nJ with a pulse duration of less than 100 fs. This laser has a repetition rate of 1-30 MHz and has a beam quality M2 better than 1.5 TEM00. It is particularly suitable for applications in multiphoton microscopy (MPM) and allows researchers to perform deep-tissue 3-photon excitation fluorescence (3PEF) imaging of green/red fluorescent protein (GFP/RFP) within the biological transmission windows using only a single laser. This laser is designed to deliver reliable 24/7 operation in industrial as well as scientific environments.
The SOPRANO-13/17 requires an AC supply of 100-240 V and consumes up to 300 W of power. It is available in a laser head module that measures 905 x 605 x 177 mm and is ideal for biomedical applications like deep tissue imaging, neuroscience, optical virtual skin biopsy, histopathology and morphology, MPM modalities like 2PEF/3PEF and SHG/THG, semiconductor testing (OBIC) and spectroscopy applications.
