The GDL400 from Gap Laser Systems is a Direct Diode Laser that operate at wavelengths of 915 nm and 976 nm (optional). It delivers an average output power of 400 mW and has 2 diode modules. This continuous wave or quasi-continuous wave laser has an optical fiber with a diameter of 200 μm, fiber length of 3 m - 7 m, and numerical aperture of 0.22. It has a collimator with configurable beam diameter and focusing head with a configurable focusing distance of 100 mm.

The GDL400 can be controlled via USB/Ethernet/Analog communication interfaces and supports an SMA 905 connector. It has an integrated cooling system with external chiller & armored jacket optical fibers with additional protective sheath and is 2004/108/CE, 2006/95/CE, EN 60825-1 & EN61010-1 compliant. This laser requires an AC supply voltage of 90 V - 240 V and consumes up to 900 W of power. It is available in a 4U rack package that measures 483 mm (L) x 424 mm (W) x 132.5 mm (H) and is ideal for welding, soldering, thermal material activation & cutting applications.
