The YLR-150/1500-QCW from IPG Photonics is a Quasi Continuous-Wave Ytterbium Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1070 nm. It delivers a maximum average power of 150 W and peak power of 1500 W. This has a wavelength accuracy of ±5 nm and beam quality factor (M2) of 1.05%. It has a pulse energy of up to 15 J and modulation frequency below 50 kHz. This laser has an output fiber core diameter of 50 μm, 100 μm & 200 μm and a beam parameter product of 2 mm x rad, 5 mm x rad & 10 mm x rad.

The YLR-150/1500-QCW has a wall plug efficiency of greater than 30% and an internal pulse generator & pulse shaping. It requires an AC supply voltage of 100 V - 240 V and is available in a module that measures 448 (W) mm x 502 (D) mm x 177 (H) mm. This continuous wave or pulsed laser is ideal for spot welding, seam welding, replacement for lamp-pumped lasers, micro welding, drilling, cutting, batteries, medical devices, computer components, and additive manufacturing applications.
