The YLS-HPP Series from IPG Photonics are a CW/QCW Pulsed Mode Lasers that operate at 1074 nm. They deliver up to 6 kW of CW power and 10 kW of pulsed power. These lasers have a pulse repetition rate from 50 to 500 Hz and pulse width from 0.2 to 2 ms in the QCW regime.

The YLS-HPP Series features a high peak power option which enables the user to run a CW laser in pulsed mode with a two-fold increase in peak power in comparison with CW average power. The high peak power improves the performance customers receive in their laser cutting applications, allowing an increase in piercing speed, improvement in piercing quality, and piercing of thicker materials. The reduced heat input in the peak power mode results in higher quality cuts of intricate parts with fine features in the corners while reducing overall laser power requirements. The peak power mode also enhances drilling capabilities by allowing clean, controlled drilling in thicker materials.

The YLS-HPP Series of lasers are available in super-compact hermetic packages that measures 428 x 808 x 568/ 428 x 808 x 702 mm and are ideal for 2D/3D thin and thick cutting, stainless and mild steel cutting, processing copper, brass and aluminum, and welding applications.
