The ModBox-FE from iXblue Photonics is a Near-Infrared Front-End Laser System that operates at wavelengths of 1030 nm, 1053 nm, and 1064 nm. The laser system consists of a pulse-shaped modulator, RF generator, and CW laser source. It produces an energy per pulse of up to 800 pJ with a pulse width of 10 ns and has pulse stability of 1% rms. This laser has a sample rate of 8 Gsample/s and can be controlled via USB and ethernet interfaces.
The ModBox-FE integrates a seed laser and an optical fiber amplifier to deliver high-energy and pre-shaped optical pulses. The pulse-shaped modulator ensures a high optical pulse extinction ratio (30 dB) and offers flexible pulse shaping. It has automatic bias control circuitry that provides high extinction ratio stability over time. The laser is available in a module with BNC connectors and is ideal for inertial confinement fusion, the interaction of intense light with matter, laser-plasma interaction, the interaction of ion beam with HP laser, and laser implosion applications.
