CVFL-GIGA 5xx Series

The CVFL-GIGA 5xx Series from Keopsys by LUMIBIRD are Ytterbium-doped Fiber Lasers that operate from 520 to 590 nm. These linearly polarised lasers deliver a CW output power of up to 3 W and have a beam quantity (M²) better than 1.2. They can be monitored through the front panel or remotely via a serial port.

These lasers operate in two modes – ACC (automatic current control) and APC (automatic power control).  The ACC mode allows controlling these lasers at a fixed output current set point. Meanwhile, the APC mode allows controlling these lasers at a fixed output power set point. In this mode, these lasers maintain a constant optical output power monitored with the help of a photodiode, and the current is adjusted automatically. They are available in a benchtop unit with a free-space collimated beam output termination and are ideal for laser shows, laser doppler velocimetry, DNA sequencing, super-resolution microscopy, and medical applications.
