The CVFL-KILO Series from Keopsys by LUMIBIRD are Single Mode Frequency Converted Fiber Lasers that are designed specifically for atom cooling applications. They operate at a tunable wavelength from 530-560 nm, 630-650 nm, and 767-790 nm. These random/linearly polarized lasers provide an output power of up to 2 W and can be controlled via touch-screen, Ethernet, and TTL logic interfaces. They consist of a highly stable laser diode and laser microcavity which are amplified and upconverted with single-pass periodically poled crystals These lasers are integrated with wavelength locking input, monitoring output, and optional mid-stage access features.
The CVFL-KILO Series offers two modes of operation - ACC (Automatic Current Control), and APC (Automatic Power Control). In the ACC mode, the lasers are controlled from the diodes current set point. The APC mode controls the lasers at a fixed output power set point and maintains a constant optical output power monitored by a photodiode. The current is also adjusted automatically through APC mode.
The CVFL-KILO Series uses Rubidium, Potassium, Ytterbium, and CaF cooling lines and offers embedded air-cooling functionality to provide high wall-plug efficiency. Their robust architecture and reliable integrated components provide low phase noise & RIN, maintenance-free operation, and a long lifetime without preventive services like realignment, optics cleaning, etc. These lasers are ideal for atom cooling and quantum optics, formation of cold molecules, entangled photon generation, optical tweezing, and metrology applications.
