The MK-82 from L3 Kigre is a DPSS Passively Q-switched Erbium Glass Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1535 nm. It provides a laser energy of over 2 mJ with a pulse width of 6 ns and a pulse repetition rate of 1-2 Hz. This laser produces a beam of diameter 0.8 mm with a beam divergence of over 4.2 mrad and an M2 factor of up to 1.7. It has an integrated photodiode and 2.4 W conductive cooling. This laser requires a DC supply of 4 V and consumes 100 A of current.
The MK-82 is available as a laser head that measures 1.65 x 3.05 x 5.56 cm and is ideal for commercial, defense and multi-domain applications.
