The LGK 7872 BM from LASOS is an Argon Ion Laser that operates at a wavelength of 454.5 nm - 496.5 nm. It delivers an output power of 30 mW and has a beam divergence of up to 1.05 mrad. This continuous wave laser has a beam quality factor of 1.2 M2 and produces a beam of diameter 0.65 ± 0.06 mm. It has a beam-pointing stability of up to ± 30 µm (lateral drift) & ± 30 µrad (angular drift) and an output power stability of up to ± 1 %. This vertically polarised class 3B laser has a polarization extinction ratio above 500:1 and noise of less than 1.0 % rms.
The LGK 7872 BM has a warm-up period of 15 min and can be remotely controlled via an RMC 7812 Z interface. It requires a supply voltage of 70 V - 150 V (DC) & 100 V - 240 V (AC) and consumes 3.5 A - 9 A of current. This laser is available in a module that measures 333.5 (L) mm x 150 (H) mm x 171 (W) mm and is ideal for confocal laser scanning microscopy, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, analytical chemistry, fast-flow-rate particle measurements, digital imaging, medical, and basic research applications.
