The ORS-Mini from Menlo Systems is a Fabry-Perot Laser System that operates at a wavelength of 1542 and 1064 nm. It delivers an output power of over 10 mW and produces a laser light of linewidth less than 2 Hz with a stability better than 5 x 10-15 at 1 s. This laser has a high-finesse Fabry-Perot cubic cavity spacer of length 5 cm that serves as a reference. This cavity is made of ultra-low expansion glass (ULE) and is operated in a vacuum at the point of zero thermal expansion. The reference cavity is acoustically isolated allowing for excellent performance also in rough laboratory environments. Rigid mounting of the cavity ensures portability without realignment of the optical paths.
The ORS-Mini has system electronics based on the latest generation of Menlo Systems’ proprietary SYNCRO controller which incorporates all required electronics like a low-noise laser driver and a very fast (analog) servo loop for laser frequency stabilization. This laser can be controlled via a 7-inch front panel touchscreen or a GUI on a remote PC.
The ORS-Mini requires an AC supply of 100/115/230 V and consumes up to 100 W of power. It is available in a 19” 8U rack-mountable package that measures 450 x 550 x 360 mm with SC/APC connector and is ideal for Quantum Computing ultra-low noise microwave generation, frequency comb stabilization, high resolution spectroscopy, laser cooling & trapping, OEM integration and Field applications.
