The ORIGAMI XP-S from NKT Photonics is a high energy femtosecond laser that operates at a centre wavelength of 1030 nm. It provides an average output power of more than 5 W with a pulse energy of 75 µJ and a pulse duration of over 400 fs. This laser delivers a narrow spectral bandwidth of less than 5 nm and consumes up to 500 W of power.

The ORIGAMI XP-S is available in a box, where the laser head (292.1 x 176 x 507.4 mm), controller, and air-cooling system are all integrated in one small and robust package. It is suitable for applications such as medical device fabrication, femtosecond micromachining, thin film patterning, sapphire drilling and cutting, glass cutting and drilling, ceramics drilling and scribing, polyimide drilling and cutting, multiphoton microscopy, ophthalmic, and FPD pixel repair.
