The AFX-1000 from nLIGHT is a Programmable Fiber Laser that operates at a wavelength of 1070 nm. It provides a CW/modulated peak power of up to 1200 W and has a power tunability of 5-100%. The water-cooled fiber laser has a numerical aperture of 0.1 NA and a modulation rise/fall time of less than 5 µs. It requires an AC supply from 200-240 V and supports RS-232 and Ethernet interfaces. The laser is available in a module that measures 480 x 677 x 177 mm with a 5 m long fiber and has been designed for metal additive manufacturing.
