The vi30+ from Novanta Photonics is a CO2 laser that operates at wavelengths of 9.3, 10.2, or 10.6 µm. It delivers a continuous wave output power of over 20 W (9.3 µm), 25 W (10.2 µm) & 30 W (10.6 µm) with power stability of ±5% (9.3 µm) & ±3% (10.2/10.6 µm). This linearly polarized laser has a rise time of less than 100 µs and has an operating frequency of up to 100 kHz. It produces a beam of diameter 2.5 mm ± 0.5 mm with a full angle divergence of less than 7 mrad and a beam quality factor (M2) of up to 1.2.
The vi30+ features a large dynamic range and multiple cooling options that enable greater integration flexibility. The fast rise/fall time allows it to perform high-speed material processing for large volumes. This laser requires a DC supply of 48 V and consumes 10 A of current. It is available in a benchtop package that measures 427 x 89 x 139 mm and is ideal for engraving, marking, and ablation applications.
