The Prima from PicoQuant is a 3-Color (RGB) Picosecond Laser that operates at wavelengths of 450, 510 and 635 nm. It has Pulsed, CW and fast CW switching modes and provides a maximum output power of 5 mW (pulsed) & 50 mW (CW). This linearly polarized laser has a pulse width of up to 170 ps and produces a beam 0.55-0.8 mm in diameter. It has a rise/fall time of 3 ns and is triggerable internally or externally up to 200 MHz. This laser has a spectral width FWHm of 2-6 nm (pulsed) and up to 1 nm (CW). It consumes up to 30 W of power and can be controlled via a USB 2.0 interface.
The Prima is available in a compact stand-alone module that measures 75 x 83 x 140 mm and has USB-C and SMA connectors. It is ideal for material science & chemical research, life science, photoluminescence lifetime & quantum yield measurements, fluorescence lifetime measurements, time-resolved microscopy & single molecule detection (FLIM, FRET, PIE-FRET, FCS) applications.
