The Boston 500 from Sirah Lasertechnik is an Nd:Yag Laser that operates at wavelengths of 266, 355, 532, or 1064 nm. It delivers a pulse energy of 35 - 500 mJ with energy stability of 0.7% rms and a pulse width of 5 - 8 ns. This ultrafast laser has a beam diameter of less than 8 mm and a beam divergence of 0.5 mrad. It has pointing stability of ±50 mrad and jitter of 0.5 ns. This laser allows a repetition rate adjustment of ±10 % in 0.1 µHz steps and flex rate down to 0.1 Hz in 0.1 Hz steps. It can be controlled via a USB interface.
The Boston 500 features superior mode quality, a long flashlamp lifetime, multiple TTL signals for easy control, a highly efficient ceramic reflector pump chamber, operation control software, harmonics generation, and dichroic. This laser has Q-switched & long-pulse operation modes and its output frequency is adjustable during the operation. The power supply & control electronics for this laser are based on the latest solid-state technologies and use IGBT switching to drive the flashlamp. It is available in a laser head that measures 828.4 x 170 x 187.3 mm and is ideal for pumping dye lasers.
