The InSight X3 from MKS | Spectra-Physics is a Tunable Ultrafast Laser that operate at wavelengths of 680 nm - 1300 nm (main output) and 1045 nm (dual output). It delivers an average output power of greater than 1 W (at 700 nm), 1.6 W (at 800 nm), 2 W (at 900 nm), 1.8 W (at 1000 nm), 1.6 W (at 1100 nm), 1.4 W (at 1200 nm), 1 W (at 1300 nm), and 3.5 W (at 1045 nm). This laser has a beam-pointing stability of up to 350 μrad and power stability below ± 1%. It has a pulse repetition rate of 80 MHz ± 0.5 and pulse width of less than 120 fs (at 680 nm - 1300 nm) & 200 fs (at 1045 nm).
The InSight X3 produces a beam of diameter 1.1 ± 0.2 mm and has a beam roundness of 0.8 - 1.2. It has a full-angle beam divergence of less than 1.5 mrad and astigmatism of up to 20 %. This horizontally polarised laser has a TEM00 spatial mode with beam quality factor (M2) below 1.2 and polarization extinction ratio above 500:1. It has a tuning speed of greater than 50 nm/sec and noise of less than 0.5 %. This laser can be controlled via RS-232 and USB communication interfaces using a PC.
The InSight X3 requires an AC supply voltage of 200 V - 240 V and consumes up to 1500 W of power. This laser is available in a standard package that measures 502 mm x 184.1 mm x 900.8 mm and is ideal for multiphoton imaging, Stimulated Raman spectroscopy (SRS), optogenetics, non-linear spectroscopy, coherent anti-stokes Raman Spectroscopy (CARS) applications.
